Battery application types

The problem
Stationary storage batteries are used in two types of applications
Backup applications (like UPS): The batteries are maintained fully charged to support critical loads during emergency conditions of (rather infrequent) grid outages. After such an event, they are fully recharged (there is ample of time usually for this) and wait again for the next event.
Cycle applications (like RE, unstable grid UPS or diesel-battery hybrid telecom systems): The batteries undergo repeated, often deep, charge-discharge cycles.
Battery un-balance is the most common issue, difficult to address. It minimizes the effective capacity, degrading system performance and results to early degradation of lead-acid batteries.
The solution
Active-bms provides dedicated Active Battery Management Systems for both application types, that safeguard battery health, performance and longevity
